Tzipi Ozer-Armon

Tzipi Ozer-Armon, CEO of Lumenis, joined the company in May 2012.  Prior to joining Lumenis, Ms. Ozer-Armon headed the Japanese market activities of  Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq: TEVA), a business of over $800M.  Previously, Ms. Ozer-Armon served as Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing at SanDisk (Nasdaq:SNDK) with multi-billion dollars sales’ responsibility, VP General Manager of MSystems (Nasdaq: FLSH), and VP of Corporate Development at Comverse (Nasdaq: CMVT).  Ms. Ozer-Armon’s impressive career includes four years at ATKearney, a Global Management Consulting company based in London, UK.  Ms. Ozer-Armnon holds a BA magna cum laude in Economics from Tel Aviv University and an MBA majoring in Finance and Marketing.


 

 

 

Ophir Yakovian

Ophir Yakovian has served as our Chief Financial Officer since joining Lumenis on February 1, 2012. Immediately prior to joining Lumenis, Mr. Yakovian served as Vice President - Finance, for Verint Systems Inc., a global leader in Actionable Intelligence solutions and value-added services, from 2006. Prior thereto, he served as Corporate Controller at Metalink Ltd. from 2001 to 2006 and as a Senior Auditor at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu from 1998 to 2001. Mr. Yakovian holds a bachelor's degree in economics and accounting and a master's degree in business economics from Bar-Ilan University, Israel, and is a certified public accountant in Israel.


            


Roy Ramati

Roy Ramati, Vice President & General Manager of the Aesthetic Strategic Business Unit, joined Lumenis in June 2012. Roy brings to his role vast management and entrepreneurial experience. Prior to joining Lumenis, Roy served as VP & GM of the Enterprise Division at SanDisk Corp. and before that as VP Operations and Manager of the Memory Cards Business at Msystems, Roy was the founder and Co-CEO of the Fantine Group, a provider of business development services in Europe and a Venture Capital Fund. Mr. Ramati also served as a management consultant at Shaldor, Israel's top management consulting firm. Mr. Ramati holds an MBA from the London Business School, and a BA from Tel Aviv University.



Elad Benjamin

Elad Benjamin, Vice President & General Manager of the Surgical Strategic Business Unit, joined Lumenis in September 2012. Elad is an experienced manager with a strong track record of managerial roles in both start-ups and Fortune 200 companies and vast international experience. His previous roles include GM of Healthcare Information Solutions (HCIS), a ~$200m IT department of the $2.4Bn Carestream Health Conglomerate, and Group Product Manager for Omnicell Inc. where he managed a $160m business. Prior to that Elad was VP of Marketing and Product Management of Kodak's Health Imaging Division. 
Elad holds an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a BSc in General Science, from Tel Aviv University. He's an IDF Captain (Reserves) in the 8200 "Haman Talpiot" program and an Ultra Marathon runner.


 



Danny Albeck

Dr. Danny Albeck, CTO joined the company in November 2010. Prior to his appointment at Lumenis, Dr. Albeck served as General Manager of CogniTens and prior to that held leading management positions including senior physicist at Orbot Systems Ltd., VP R&D MedisEl Ltd.  Dr. Albeck holds a B.Sc. and Ph.D. in Physics from Bar Ilan University, in addition to studying Marketing and Finance at Lahav, Tel Aviv University Business School.  Dr. Albeck holds over 15 patents and patent applications.



Robert (Bob) Di Silvio

Mr. Robert (Bob) Di Silvio,  President of the Americas joined the company in October 2010.  Prior to joining Lumenis Mr. Di Silvio served in various senior managerial positions including Vice President & General Manager of Safe Life Corp, Vice President of US Field Operations Physio-Control Division of Medtronic, and Executive Vice President America Region with Coherent Medical Group.  Mr. Di Silvio holds a Masters in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Organic Chemistry from the University of Connecticut and also completed three years at the University of Rome School of Medicine.



Qiying Zhai

Mr. Zhai Qiying, SVP and President of Lumenis China/APAC Region joined the company in 2001.  Previously Mr. Qiying held senior management positions with the Coherent Medical Group in his region, and joined Lumenis with the company’s  ESC/Sharplan merger.  Mr. Qiying started Lumenis’ Ophthalmic business in China in 1992 and has been with Lumenis since that time responsible for Lumenis’ China/APAC region.



Alex Tanaka

Mr. Tanaka President of Lumenis Japan joined the company in June 2007. Previously Mr. Tanaka served as Operating Officer of Fukuda Denshi in Japan for Global Operations, and as President of Fukuda USA in Seattle, Fukuda UK in London, Kontron Medical in France. Mr. Tanaka also served in various managerial positions for GE Medical Systems Asia: Acting Director of BMD Lunar Business, Clinical Value Creation Group, and as Product Manager of the Ultrasound Diagnostic Imaging Division. Mr. Tanaka is a graduate of Aichi Prefectural University in Japan.





Dr.Kordt Griepenkerl

Dr.Kordt Griepenkerl, VP & Regional President of Lumenis EMEA
(Europe, Middle-East and Africa), joined Lumenis on February 17, 2013.
Kordt brings nearly 20 years of solid international experience in the medical device industry and business consultancy services. He started his career with McKinsey & Co., a global management consultancy firm, and later served as VP Corporate Sales at Biotronik – a medical device company operating in the field of cardiac monitors, pacemakers and drug-eluting stents. Afterwards, Kordt served as Managing Director (CEO) of Trumpf Medical, a private company that specializes in equipment for hospital operating rooms. Kordt holds a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.



William Weisel

Mr. Weisel Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Lumenis, joined the company in June 2007.  Prior to joining Lumenis, Mr. Weisel served as Counsel to Steel Hector & Davis in Israel, Vice President and General Counsel for Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd, and General Counsel of ADC Teledata Ltd and of Scitex Corporation Ltd.  Prior to that, Mr. Weisel worked in a Los Angeles law firm for several years as a litigator. Bill Weisel is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and Loyola Law School of Los Angeles, and is a member of both the State Bar of California and the Israel Bar.





Amir Lichter

Amir Lichter has recently joined Lumenis as VP Global R&D. Amir is a 16-year veteran of R&D development management and processes. He has vast technical experience mainly in Networking and Medical architectures and took part in research activities together with the academy & hospitals (including funding and regulatory affairs). Amir served as the R & D manager for General-Electric for 9 years. Prior to this Amir worked for Charlotte’s-Web-Networks for 4 years managing the SW department, developing a Core-Router for the Internet. Amir worked for Elbit Systems for 4 years leading few different levels of SW groups. Amir has 2 first degrees from the Technion in Mechanical Engineering (BSc.) and Computer Science (BA). And, has graduated the Executive MBA program in Haifa University with a second degree in Business-Administration.



Shlomo Alkalay

Mr. Shlomo Alkalay, VP Customer Service,  joined Lumenis in 2002, and has held various senior executive management positions with the Company,  amongst these responsibility for global manufacturing, global IT,  global service and corporate projects.   Prior to joining Lumenis, Mr. Alkalay served as the Vice President of Business Development for Israel’s largest commercial and naval fleet supplier.  He served in the Israeli Navy for 24 years, lastly as a Commander managing large-scale industrial and manufacturing engineering projects.  Mr. Alkalay holds a BSC Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology with honors, and an MBA from Haifa University



Rick Gaykowski

Mr. Rick Gaykowski, Global Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Systems, joined Lumenis in April 2010.  Before joining Lumenis Mr. Gaykowski served as Vice President, Regulatory Affairs for Bard Access Systems, Inc., and prior to that held the positions of Vice President, Regulatory Affairs/Quality Assurance with the Precision Vascular business unit of Boston Scientific; Precision Vascular Systems, Inc.; InnerDyne, Inc. and Director and Manager of Regulatory Affairs/Quality Systems with CardioPulmonics, Inc. Mr. Gaykowski holds a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Sciences and Health from the University of Utah.

 


Eran Cohen 

Mr. Eran Cohen assume the role of Global Head of Operations for Lumenis on 1st December 2012.  Before joining Lumenis, Eran served as VP Operations for a period of 4 years at Cadent Ltd, a leading provider of 3D digital CAD/CAM solutions for the orthodontic and dental industries (acquired by Align Technologies in 2011).  Prior to that, Eran was VP Operations at NUR Macroprinters, a leading producer and supplier of wide-format inkjet printers for the printing industry (which merged with HP Scitex in 2007). Before that Eran worked 6 years for Orbotech, first as Director of Corporate Logistics, and later as VP Finance and Operations in Orbotech Japan.  Eran holds an executive MBA from Recanati School of Business and a BSc in Economics and Management from the Technion.  



Kfir Azoulay

Mr. Kfir Azoulay, Vice President & General Manager of the Vision (Ophthalmology) Strategic Business Unit, joined Lumenis in January 2001 and has held various management positions with the company. He brings nearly 13 years of experience working in the global medical device industry. Previously, Mr. Azoulay served as Director of Global Marketing and the acting head of the Vision Business Unit. Prior to that, he held various Marketing, Commercial and Sales Operations roles in different locations around the world. Mr. Azoulay is fluent in four languages and resides in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He studied Cognitive Sciences; and also successfully completed the ophthalmic science program (BCSCO) at Columbia University in NY.
